I felt embarrassed about my childhood and I didn’t want people to know what I went through. My privacy was important to me as and I didn’t want to attend counselling in an area where people knew who I was.
Within 3 counselling sessions I started to feel better. I wasn’t crying as much and had better control over my emotions. I found that I can be more open when talking about myself with other people. I feel more at peace within. I’ve come to understand that things that happened to me during my childhood wasn’t my fault and I had no control over it.
